Embrace Your Pain With Guest Jason Brody, M.S.
Emotions are our guidance system; our North star helps us navigate what we want and don’t want. They are not something to be bulldozed, ignored, or transmuted into something else. Pain and other uncomfortable emotions are part of being human—they are to be embraced to be loved to be felt—We need to learn how to PLAY with our emotions—rather than making emotions the enemy. We need to stop trying to ignore emotions, stop hiding from them, stop stuffing them away, stop distracting ourselves from them or numbing ourselves with pills or other substances just to not feel them. We treat them like enemies to be avoided at all costs—rather than getting to know our enemies—after all enemies, like strangers, may just be friends we haven’t met yet.
As children, if it was not safe to experience and express anger, shame, or sadness, we don’t have the preparation to understand how to use them as guides to help us move from the unwanted to the wanted. We judge them as ‘wrong” and then do not learn how to process them through. This will be mirrored in our relationships and careers. The unexpressed, unintegrated feeling states will remain as orphans, constantly trying to be recognized and seen. We become enemies to ourselves. We think emotions are the problem and try to sedate them or make them go away. But to be whole, all parts of us must be acknowledged and included, even the messy ones. This is integration. This is love.
Jason Brody, M.S. in Psychology, had his first spiritual awakening when he was 28. This impelled him to go on a search to study the role emotions play in creating perspective, and to deeply explore effective healing modalities. This involved going through processes with over a dozen Awakened Masters of various disciplines from the Eastern Mystical and Western Psychological traditions.
Bringing together the best, Jason developed The Awakening Intensive, a step-by-step process for coming into right relationship with our feelings and deconstructing childhood trauma.
Awakening is a portal to a level where you deeply explore the roots of unhealed trauma and directly experience the power to move on from it.
Jason Brody received certification in the Fischer-Hoffman (Quadrinity) Process, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and Ericksonian Hypnosis. He is also trained in Rebirthing, Sandplay and Dreamwork, and Family Constellation Therapy. Jason has been a group facilitator at the Osho Rajneesh Commune in Poona, India
