What Do You Actually Want? The Process Of Pivoting
In this episode of Illuminate Your Worth, Heather Stewart explores what happens when we stop treating negative emotions as something to get rid of and start getting curious about what they might be trying to show us.
So many of us are incredibly clear about what we don’t want.
We don’t want to feel this tired.
We don’t want to keep having the same argument.
We don’t want to stay stuck in a job, relationship, routine, or version of ourselves that no longer feels right.
But when someone asks, “Okay, so what do you want instead?” the answer can suddenly feel a lot less obvious.
This episode looks at how frustration, resentment, disappointment, boredom, envy, and those other uncomfortable feelings can become useful information. They can point toward what matters to you, what may be missing, and what you might be ready to experience differently.
Heather invites you to stop judging yourself for feeling dissatisfied and instead ask a better question: What would I prefer? Because clarity does not always arrive as a giant revelation or perfectly formed five-year plan. Sometimes it starts with realizing you want more space, more creativity, more adventure, more support, more connection, or simply a little less of what is draining you.
This is not a conversation about forcing yourself to think positively or pretending everything is fine. It is about learning to listen to yourself again. You are allowed to try things, change your mind, discover that something is not for you, and use what you learn to choose again.
If your life looks fine on the outside but something inside you keeps whispering, “This isn’t quite it,” this episode is for you.
