When Healing Listens Instead Of Fixes With Guest Sarah Tacy
In this episode of Your Healing Playground, I sit down with Sarah Tacy to explore what happens when healing stops being about fixing—and starts being about listening.
Sarah shares her powerful personal journey from elite athlete to chronic pain survivor, from treating the body as a tool for performance to discovering it as a wise, no-BS GPS for healing and truth. We talk about the moment pain became her initiation into mind–body healing, the mysterious experiences of spontaneous healing that changed her relationship with energy and touch, and how science, curiosity, and somatic awareness helped her hold both skepticism and wonder.
Together, we explore:
How the nervous system shapes pain, emotions, identity, and possibility
Why safety—not force—is the gateway to healing
The role of play, curiosity, and attuned presence in repair and transformation
Why community and being accompanied matter just as much as individual practices
How motherhood, grief, and transition deepen—not derail—our healing path
This conversation is a gentle reminder that healing doesn’t happen through willpower alone. It happens when the body feels safe enough to soften, to explore, and to play. When we slow down, listen deeply, and allow support, wisdom emerges—and the body remembers how to heal.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in pain, burnout, anxiety, or self-doubt…
If you’ve ever sensed there’s more intelligence in your body than you’ve been taught to trust…
This episode invites you back into your Healing Playground—where safety, curiosity, and play make transformation possible.
Sarah Tacy is a nervous system specialist and somatic guide for high-achieving women who are done with burnout—but not with ambition. For over 20 years Sarah has worked with former Olympians, professional athletes, executives, entrepreneurs, while also guiding professional mind/body certification. She has a masterful understanding of the way the body functions, and how its function impacts how we feel and how we perceive reality.
Her work blends neuroscience, somatic healing, and sacred strategy to support women in reclaiming their wholeness. She’s the creator of Resourced a 12 Week nervous system repatterning journey, and host of the Threshold Moments podcast, known for her grounded presence and ability to hold space for what’s real, raw, and ready to rise.
Sarah is an evolving mother, wife, and friend. She believes that the body is always speaking to us, and if we can create space and support on as many dimensions as possible, repair and transformation will unfold. https://www.sarahtacy.com/
